- Design consultation: First, you’ll meet with one of our friendly design consultants, who will visit your home for a free initial design consultation. We usually allocate up to two hours per consultation, but this depends on your specific requirements.
- Design & quote: Our Design Consultant will help design the perfect deck area to suit your lifestyle needs, as well as select the right products for the job. Following this, it’s then time to finalise your designs and get your free quotation.
- Check measure: Before we proceed with the plans, we’ll check the measurements to ensure the plans are accurate and to spec.
- Council application: Once everything looks good on paper, the next step is to apply for council approval to ensure your plans and documentation for your new structure are approved by the relevant building surveyor and built to the legal standard. Don’t worry; we handle the council application process on your behalf.
- Manufacture & deliver: When everything is approved, things will start to materialise. We will manufacture your deck and deliver it to the site—you don’t even need to be home for delivery. The materials will be left on the nature strip in front of your property unless our building supervisor gives other instructions during check measures.
- Installation: When your Check Measure is finalised, and the Construction Plan approval has been received from your local council, it’s time to schedule your installation with our next available builder in the area.

Yes, most building work that adds to the footprint of your home will require planning approval, and this applies to most decks. You will need to get approval when building a deck on the Sunshine Coast if your deck or patio is bigger than 10m2 and over 2.4m above natural ground.
